With new crop bids at all time highs, producers can lock in some attractive prices for the 2008 crop.  Planting intentions can significantly impact next year's prices.  Will we see $10.00 wheat next year?  Maybe, but we may also see $5.00 wheat.

While selling a majority of your next year's crop is not recommended, a marketing approach of selling 5 - 10 percent will ensure cash flow at harvest and start the process of averaging your yearly cash price.
